The PetalCraft studio
— The Studio —

A studio in
a garden.

PetalCraft was founded by Eliza Hawthorne, a former landscape designer who fell in love with flowers and never quite left the garden. Today the studio works on around forty events a year — small enough to design each one personally, large enough to bring a full team to the day.

"The flowers we love most are the ones that look like they wandered in from someone's garden — slightly imperfect, a little wild, completely alive."

— Eliza Hawthorne, Founder & Lead Designer

— Locally Grown —

Flowers with
a little dirt
on their roots.

We source from a small handful of local growers, an organic farm of our own, and — when seasonality demands — a few trusted regional partners. We never source from auction-house flowers flown across the world.

  • i

    Locally grown, in season

Eighty-five percent of our florals come from within fifty miles of the studio.

  • ii

    Composted, recycled, never floral foam

We compost everything that can be composted and never use the styrofoam-like floral foam that pollutes water systems.

  • iii

    Donated after the event

With your permission, post-event flowers are donated to local hospice and senior care facilities.

— Notes from the Couple —

Lovely letters.

"

Eliza understood our vision better than we did. The arrangements were so abundant and so perfectly imperfect — exactly the garden feeling we wanted.

We couldn't stop staring at the centerpieces all night. Three years later we still talk about how the room felt like a real garden.
